I hope your days are so very kind / and your stars bring love to you. / May all your wishes have reality / and your skies are always blue. / Your days will be so many / for life is so very long. / But as I go shed no tears / and sing no good-bye song. / Time to open those golden gates / and walk those timeless stairs. / Let me hold all your sorrows / and give me all your fears. / Make me no hero / nor a page in a history book. / Build me no statues of glory / for all the future to look. / Farewell my friends, / my time has ended, you know. / Be good, but be happy / with peace and love as I go.

Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow, / but remember me in every tomorrow. / Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles, / I've only gone to rest a little while. / Although my leaving causes pain and grief, / my going has eased my hurt and given me relief. / So dry your eyes and remember me, / not as I am now, but as I used to be. / Because, I will remember you all / and look on with a smile. / Understand, in your hearts, / I've only gone to rest a little while. / As long as I have the love of each of you, / I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.

Take my hand and walk with me / Across the sands of time. / Hand in hand and heart to heart / Together, friend of mine. / We will share the solitude / And walk in quiet peace / For my heart hears what your heart says; / It listens when yours speaks. / The years have brought us to this place / Across the sands of Time And we will walk here til the end / Together, friend of mine.

Feel no guilt in laughter, he knows how much you care. / Feel no sorrow in a smile that he's not here to share. / You cannot grieve forever, he would not want you to. / He'd hope that you can carry on, the way you always do. / So talk about the good times and the ways you showed you cared, / The days you spent together, all the happiness you shared. / Let memories surround you, A word someone may say. / Will suddenly recapture a time, an hour, a day, / That brings him back as clearly as though he were still here, / And fills you with the feelings that he is always near. / For if you keep these moments, you will never be apart. / And he will live forever locked safe within your heart.

When I am dead / Cry for me a little. / Think of me sometimes / But not too much. / It is not good for you / Or for your wife or your husband / Or your children / To allow your thoughts to dwell / Too long on the Dead. / Think of me now and again / As I was in life / At some moment it is pleasant to recall. / But not for long. / Leave me in peace / As I shall leave / you, too, in peace. / While you live / Let your thoughts be with the Living.

When tomorrow starts without me, / and I'm not here to see, / if the sun should rise and find your eyes, filled with tears for me. / I wish so much you wouldn't cry, / the way you did today, / while thinking of many things / we didn't get to say. / I know how much you love me, / as much as I love you, / and each time you think of me, / I know you'll miss me too. / When tomorrow starts without me, / don't think we're far apart, / for every time you think of me, / I'm right there in your heart.

We little knew that morning, / God was going to call your name. / In life we loved your dearly, / In death we do the same. / It broke our hearts to lose you, / You did not go alone, / For part of us went with you, / the day God called you home. / You left us beautiful memories, / Your love is still our guide / And though we cannot see you, / You are always by our side. / Our family chain is broken / And nothing seems the same / But as God calls us one by one / The chain will link again.

God looked around his garden / And found an empty space; / He then looked down upon this earth / And saw your tired face. / He put His arms around you / And lifted you to rest; / God's garden must be beautiful, / He only takes the best. / He knew you were in pain, / He knew you might never / Get well upon this earth again. / He saw the road was getting rough / And the hills were hard to climb, / so He closed your weary eyelids / and whispered 'Peace be thine.' / It broke our hearts to lose you, / But you never went alone, / For part of us went with you / The day God called you home

I am home in Heaven, dear ones; / Oh so happy and so bright! / There is perfect joy and beauty / in this everlasting light. / All the pain and grief is over, / every restless tossing passed, / I am now at peace forever, / Safely home in Heaven at last. / Did you wonder I so calmly Trod / the valley, of the shade? / Oh! But Jesus love illuminated / every dark and fearful glade. / And He came Himself / to meet me in that way so hard to tread; / And with Jesus' arm to lean on / could I have one doubt or dread? / Then you must not grieve so sorely, / for I love you dearly still; / Try to look beyond earth's shadows. / Pray to trust our Father's Will / there is work still waiting for you, / so you must not idly stand; / do it now, while life remaineth - / you shall rest in Jesus' land. / When that work is all completed, / he will gently call you Home; / Oh, the rapture of the meeting, / Oh the joy to see you come.

God's love endureth forever- / What a wonderful thing you know / When the tides of life run against you / And your spirit is downcast and low... / God's kindness is ever around you, / Always ready to freely impart / Strength to your faltering spirit, / Cheer to your lonely heart... / God's presence is ever beside you, / As near as the reach of your hand, / You have but to tell Him your troubles, / There is nothing He won't understand... / And knowing God's love is unfailing, / And His mercy unending and great, / You have but to trust in His promise- / "God comes not too soon or too late"... / So wait with a heart that is patient / For the goodness of God to prevail- / For never do prayers go unanswered, / And His mercy and love never fail.

May the Angels lead you into paradise, May the Martyrs come to welcome you, and take you to the Holy City the new and eternal Jerusalem. May the choirs of Angels receive you, and may you, with the once poor Lazarus, have rest eternal. May the Souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty, my memory, my understanding and my entire will, All I have and call my own. You have given all to me. To you, Lord, I return it. Everything is yours; do with it what you will. Give me only your love and your grace. That is enough for me.

Beloved Padre Pio, Saint of Pietrelcina, today I come to add my prayer to the thousands of prayers offered to you everyday by those who love and venerate you. They ask for cures and healings, earthly and spiritual blessings, and peace for body and mind. Because of your friendship with the Lord, He heals those you ask to be healed, and forgives those you forgive. Through your visible wounds of the Cross, which you bore for 50 years, you were chosen in our time to glorify the crucified Jesus. Because the Cross has been replaced by other symbols, please help us to bring it back in our midst, for we acknowledge it is the only true sign of salvation. As we lovingly recall the wounds that pierced your hands, feet and side, we not only remember the blood you shed in pain, but your smile and the invisible halo of sweet smelling flowers that surrounded your presence, the perfume of sanctity.

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

We thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new. We thought about you yesterday, and days before that too. We think of you in silence, we often speak your name. All we have are memories, and your picture in a frame. Your memory is our keepsake, with which we will never part. God has you in His keeping, we have you in our hearts. A million times we`ve wanted you. A million times we cried. If love could only have saved you, you never would have died. It broke our hearts to lose you. But you didn`t go alone. For a part of us went with you... the day God called you Home.
